About 5x5 RANCH

The Meaning Behind Our Logo

The 5×5 Ranch name represents the heart of our family: five adults standing alongside five children, working together as one family enterprise. The ten vertical lines across the top of the logo represent each member of our family and the generations building this ranch together. At the center is a broken chain link, symbolizing Jesus Christ at the center of our home and family, and our belief that through Him, the chains that bind, divide, and hold us back can be broken. The logo also includes elements inspired by amateur radio signal and ground symbols in memory of Paul Baker, who passed away several years ago. Paul (PaPa) always dreamed of owning a ranch, and incorporating these symbols is our way of carrying a piece of that dream forward. The number 25 carries two meanings: it is the answer to 5 × 5, and it also represents 2025, the year 5×5 Ranch LLC was formed. Finally, the livestock silhouettes on either side of the logo represent the animals we have or plan to raise in the future. Every part of the 5×5 Ranch logo tells a piece of our story; family, faith, remembrance, and the future we are building together.

Rooted in Family. Raised with Purpose.

At 5x5 Ranch, we believe good food starts with good stewardship. We’re a three-generation family ranch built around a simple idea: raise and grow food the way we’d want it raised and grown for our own family and make it available directly to yours. Our ranch brings together generations of experience, hard work, and a shared respect for the land. We’re building something we hope will last well beyond us: healthy soil, well-cared-for animals, strong family traditions, and a closer connection between the people who raise food and the people who put it on their tables.

Know Where Your Food Comes From

We believe families should be able to know where their food comes from and feel confident about how it was produced. That’s why 5x5 Ranch is focused on a direct-to-market approach. We raise grass-fed lamb & beef, offer free-range chicken, eggs, and grow pesticide-free vegatables with an emphasis on responsible, thoughtful farming practices. For us, it isn’t about producing as much as possible. It’s about doing things well, taking care of the land, treating our animals with respect, and producing food we’re proud to feed our own family.

Three Generations. One Ranch.

5x5 Ranch is more than a business. It’s a family endeavor. Having three generations working together gives us the opportunity to combine experience with new ideas while passing down something increasingly rare: a firsthand understanding of where food comes from and what it takes to produce it. There are lessons that can only be learned by doing the work; checking animals, tending crops, fixing fences, caring for the land, and showing up again the next morning. Those are lessons worth passing on.

From Our Ranch to Your Table

We want to shorten the distance between the ranch and your dinner table. When you buy from 5x5 Ranch, you aren’t buying from a distant, unknown producer. You’re buying from a family that raised it, grew it, and stands behind it. We want our customers to become part of the 5x5 Ranch community; to know their rancher, understand how their food was produced, and enjoy wholesome food raised close to home. Raised with care. Grown with purpose. From our family to yours.

Welcome to 5x5 Ranch.

Where it all began

Some things are worth carrying forward.

Long before 5x5 Ranch had a name, the love of farm life was already being passed down. This photo, taken around 1967, shows Mom at about five years old, bottle-feeding a lamb on the farm where she grew up. It’s a small glimpse into a childhood spent close to the land and animals and a reminder that the roots of our ranch go back much further than we do. Today, those same values of family, hard work, caring for animals, and respect for the land are being passed on to another generation at 5x5 Ranch.
